BROOKLAND CEMETERY

Brookland Cemetery, founded in 1987, is located in the north end of Bullitt County just south of Louisville, Kentucky. The founder of the cemetery is Neill Brooks, who still manages the cemetery with his wife and daughter. Neill's grandfather was among the founders of an older Bullitt County cemetery, Hebron Cemetery, which has served the same community as Brookland since 1894. Neill continues to serve on Hebron Cemetery's Board of Directors, although the Brooks are no longer involved in its daily management. His daughter, Sally Eiler, is the fourth generation in the Brooks family to serve as a cemeterian in Bullitt County.

Bullitt County has been one of the fastest growing areas of Kentucky over the past 20 years, experiencing rapid growth from the suburban expansion of Louisville. The families who use Brookland Cemetery come from all areas of Bullitt County and much of Louisville.

Brookland Cemetery has approximately 9 acres of land developed with roads and platted for graves and an additional 60 acres zoned for cemetery development. We are grateful that our community has readily accepted Brookland Cemetery and we appreciate the opportunity to continue to be of service to all the families who live in this area.
